Congratulations to all of the schools who attended the annual high 5 netball festival today – the teamwork and enthusiasm shown by all was brilliant to see!
High 5 netball is an adaptation of the traditional netball rules, where only 5 players play on court at once but have to rotate positions. the aim of this is to develop versatility in younger players.
There were 9 teams in total and the tournament was run as a round robin format, allowing for lots of games. The progress of pupils throughout was great and teams seemed to enjoy the challenge of the games.
Some of the scores were quite close, however the top 4 teams were:
1st – Monkton Park
2nd – Redland
3rd – Stanton St Quinton
4th – Ivy Lane
Well done to everyone who took part!
