With an exciting ‘Around the World’ theme and over 200 enthusiastic dancers, this event was always going to be a fun one! Taking place at the Neeld Hall over two nights, we saw our primary pupils shimmy, leap and boogie their way across stage. Most dance troupes have been practising for months and they certainly gave it their all. It was also lovely to see performances from each of the three local secondary schools and Chippenham Dance Academy.
At the end of the night we welcomed all dancers back on stage to give the parents in the sell out audience their chance to get involved with a group dance, superbly led by the Sports Ambassadors. The night finished with speeches from Ashley Salmon from Apple a Day who had sponsored the event, and also Chippenham Mayor Connor Melvin.
Chippenham Sports Partnership would like to thank WASSP and Apple a Day Supply for all their support, and also to Tesco’s and Sporting Billy for kindly donating prizes for the raffle. Our biggest thanks however go to our awesome dancers who really did entertain with mesmerising performances and huge smiles, which delighted everyone in the audience!
Thank you to the following schools for attending: St Pauls, St Peters, St Marys, Monkton Park, Lacock, Langley Fitzhurse, Stanton St Quinton, Frogwell, Redland, Derry Hill, Silverwood, Ivy Lane, Kings Lodge, Queens Crescent, Kington St Michael, Abbeyfield, Sheldon and Hardenhuish.
