15 teams arrived to battle it out in our annual netball tournament. High 5 netball is a version of netball played at primary schools to help encourage children to try different positions and become more versatile players. This means that every game the team all change around positions following set rotations. It was great to see everyone challenging themselves with this and the progress that teams made as the games went on, and their confidence grew, was great to see.
Each team was put into a pool of 5 and completed a round robin competition. For round 2 we then matched same place winners from across the pools to create a new round robin group, which was useful for giving everyone extra games playing against teams with similar confidence levels.
In the final the top 3 teams played some incredible netball resulting in the following:
1st place = Queens Crescent
2nd Place = Derry Hill
3rd place = St Peters
Well done to every single netballer involved – you were all fantastic!
