Primary Hockey Festival 2026
The weather may not have been on our side, but it certainly didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits at our recent Primary Hockey Festival! Thankfully, the Dome came up trumps, allowing the action to continue and giving pupils a fantastic opportunity to enjoy plenty of hockey.
The back-to-back 4v4 format ensured brilliant participation levels, with every player getting lots of time on the pitch and, importantly, plenty of contact with the ball. There was some fantastic teamwork, determination and sportsmanship on display throughout the tournament.
Congratulations to St Mary’s and Lacock, who were our winning teams across the tournament, with St Peter’s also putting in some excellent performances.
At the end of the festival, every team nominated their own Players’ Player, recognising someone who had stood out to their teammates. Each winner went home with a well-deserved medal and certificate to celebrate their achievement.
A huge well done to everyone who took part and helped make the festival such an enjoyable event. A special well done to Sports Ambassadors from Sheldon for team managing and umpiring!
