Girls Footie for Fun and SEND New Age Kurling!

This morning saw a fantastic celebration of girls’ football as children from across Chippenham came together for this year’s Girls-Only Football Festival. Despite the chilly weather, the participants arrived wrapped up in hats and gloves, full of enthusiasm and ready to get moving. It wasn’t long before coats were cast aside and the pitches were full of laughter, teamwork, and footballs being kicked across the courts.

The girls threw themselves into the activities – dribbling, passing, scoring goals, and showcasing their growing confidence and love for the game. Their energy and determination shone through, creating a brilliant atmosphere throughout the morning.

A huge thank you goes to all the teachers, teaching assistants, and parent/carers who braved the cold to support the event. Your encouragement helped make the festival such a positive experience for the children.

Running alongside the football festival was a SEND New Age Kurling event, where children from Frogwell Primary took part in a series of target-based activities designed to develop motor skills, coordination, and confidence. The children engaged brilliantly, demonstrating focus, teamwork, and plenty of smiles as they rotated through the challenges.

Overall, it was a wonderful morning of sport and physical activity in Chippenham—celebrating inclusion, participation, and the joy of being active. Well done to all involved!
