The BIGGEST EVER girls’ football event, with over 400 girls from Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 taking part – celebrating International Women’s Day and showcasing the power of football to inspire, empower, and connect girls across our community.
The day was packed with fun, friendship, and football, giving every girl the chance to play, learn, and try something new. The girls took part in:
Small-sided games – playing in a supportive, friendly environment, building confidence, and showing fantastic teamwork
Skills and drills sessions – developing their passing, dribbling, and shooting skills with the help of our Wiltshire Game Changer Sports Ambassadors
Writing pledges on the Pledge Wall, committing to staying active and supporting each other Freestyle football workshops with Isabel Wilkins – Guinness World Record holder, learning incredible tricks and stepping out of their comfort zones
Making new friends, trying something new, and proving that football is for everyone
The atmosphere was buzzing, with girls showing amazing leadership, confidence, and determination throughout the day.
