Our recent Primary Hockey Festival was a fantastic showcase of sportsmanship, teamwork, and fun! Throughout the day, the focus was on the “Chippenham Games Values” Passion, Teamwork, Determination, Inspiration, Equality, Honesty, Respect, Self-Belief, Courage, and Friendship. Each school embraced these values wholeheartedly, and it was truly inspiring to see everyone taking part with such enthusiasm.
As part of the festival, each group had the special opportunity to nominate a child from their school to receive a medal based on the value they best displayed during the games. This created an encouraging and positive atmosphere, as children worked hard and supported one another in every match. Whether it was showing determination on the pitch, respect for their opponents, or self-belief when tackling new challenges, every participant played their part in making the festival a success.
This was a fantastic introduction to the fast-moving game of hockey, and we couldn’t be prouder of the effort and commitment shown by all the schools involved. Most importantly, everyone had a lot of fun, building friendships and memories along the way.
Well done to all the players and schools for making this festival such a memorable experience! Keep up the great work, and let’s continue to carry the Chippenham Games Values into every event!
