Our Orienteering ‘expert’ Ken arrived early with his dream team of Rosie, Antonia and Andy to set up the course ready for this event. On arrival each team were given the chance to complete a practise task using the microchipped scanners. Teams were then set off in pairs, using their maps to navigate their way around the field, finding each marker in turn. Endurance and teamwork were high on the agenda for this event and the pupils didn’t disappoint!
Once the course had been completed each group had the opportunity to try some fun orienteering games such as funny faces, clockface orienteering and a ball team challenge.
The results were:
1st – Kington St Michael
2nd – Kings Lodge
3rd – Frogwell
Well done to all involved and thanks again to Ken and team for all their support!
