The Year 5 and 6 netball festival is always a highlight and it was lovely to see all of the teams back in action on the netball court. Hosting 8 teams the event started with a quick recap of the rules and rotations before teams were ready to play. There were some impressive netball skills on display – fast runs down the wing, dynamic drives to receive the ball and great interceptions. The fantastic shooting skills also meant that lots of goals were scored, leading to some exciting games.
At the end of the pool stage Redland and Monkton Park progressed to the final. This was an exciting game, with both teams giving everything they had. At the end of the 8 minutes the win went to Monkton Park, led by an emotional Mrs Douglas, at her last netball festival before she retires!
